Rastatt, Germany - October 2010 - “You must not fool yourself – this is a big project in need of a lot of coordination”, describes Andreas Lauinger, technical director and authorized signatory for the Heart Surgery Clinic in Karlsruhe, his experience with the construction of the local hybrid OR. The implementation in Karlsruhe only took 15 months which shows that the project coordination was well thought through. The hybrid OR - in this case a synthesis of operating theater for heart surgery and fully equipped cardiac catheter laboratory – is a highly complex structure, considering the planning and technical process.

Brazil - May 2008 - MAQUET do Brasil Ltda. today announced it has won a $12,5 million order in a recently conducted bid for contract by Rio de Janeiro State Health Authority. The company will deliver 310 of its SERVO-s ventilators to 25 hospitals in the region during May 2008. In addition, 120 surgical lights and 30 surgical tables as well as 50 table top sterilizers, HS22 K7, from its parent company Getinge will also be delivered.
