Features

SAFEGUARD, a latex free, sterile, single use pressure assist device has a polyurethane window and bladder, flexible fill tube, and a pressure sensitive, self adhesive peel backing. A luer valve on the end of the fill tube enables a syringe to be connected to inflate the centrally located bladder with air to provide pressure to the puncture site.

The SAFEGUARD Pressure Assisted Device has a sterile dressing with a clear window that facilitates visualization of the access site without removal or manipulation of the device.

SAFEGUARD has 3 distinct layers:

• Bottom Adhesive Layer: Generic Tegaderm™
  Function: Allows SAFEGUARD to maintain its position
• Middle Reinforcement Layer: Clear Polyethylene film
  Function: Rigid, but conformable material that provides stability for SAFEGUARD maintaining position and adding support once the bulb is inflated
• Top Outer Layer: non-woven medical tape
  Function: Adds additional strength and gauze type appearance familiar to customers
