SAFEGUARD®

Overview

SAFEGUARD provides hands-free adjustable pressure while simplifying pre and post hemostasis management of the access site; providing the dual benefit of a sterile dressing with site visibility.

Why hold pressure when SAFEGUARD can? Let SAFEGUARD assist you in obtaining and maintaining hemostasis. The SAFEGUARD Manual Assist Technique (SMAT) clinical trial demonstrates that SAFEGUARD 24cm is safe and effective in reducing active compression time in femoral artery cannulation following diagnostic and interventional procedures. It reduces demands on the staff, maximizes valuable resources, and enhances patient comfort.

SAFEGUARD is a latex free, sterile, single use pressure assist device used to assist in obtaining and maintaining hemostasis. Indications for use of the SAFEGUARD Pressure Assisted Device are to assist in obtaining and maintaining hemostasis.

SAFEGUARD 24cm is safe & effective in reducing active compression time.*

  • Diagnostic Case: 5-minute minimum active compression time
  • Interventional cases: 10-minute minimum active compression time

SAFEGUARD 24cm has a lower mean complication rate vs. manual compression

  • SAFEGUARD patients 1%*
  • Historical control rate of manual compression 2.4% (RACE Study)**
